…”makes Michele a dull girl,” as the saying goes. Last night I was reminded of this when my daughter burst into my room and playfully tackled me. I was in a grouchy mood after the daily grind and rebuffed her. I later regretted not taking a few minutes to “play” by roughhousing with her. (it’s rare when teens want your attention!) I fit a lot of obligations into my “free” time: riding kids, visiting colleges, working on my book…and feel guilty sometimes about spending time on pleasure. Hopefully I’ll remember this lesson and learn to “play” more (and actually lose the guilt and enjoy my free time). Life is short, and as Jesus says, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Wishing you joy today!
