A Sign? Cool Bumper Sticker…

I was taking a walk on my lunch hour yesterday in historic old New Castle, thinking about rewriting a part of my new, second novel to come out this fall called “The Peace Maker” when I saw this bumper sticker that “spoke” to me:

“It is an affront to truth to treat falsehood with complaisance.” (complacency – it was written in old fashioned English.) I was mulling over how to deal with the part in my book where the protagonist is grappling with deciding whether to get divorced when she’s about to become the First Lady of the United States. She’s married to an abusive alcoholic and living what has become a lie. (The story is based on the story of Abigail in the Bible’s Samuel 1).

Wow, I do believe God even talks to us through bumper stickers!
